"I am not an ambassador to NCDC" – Toyin Abraham reveals on replacing Funke as an ambassador to NCDC


Nigerian actress, Toyin Abraham has reacted to the information going viral on the social media that she has replaced her Funke Akindele’s position as the new Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) ambassador.

Meanwhile, It was gathered earlier that Toyin Abraham has taken over Funke Akindele-Bello's position after she violated the social distancing order by the Federal Government with her infamous house party.

Toyin, who is also known as Mummy Ire featured in an advertorial through which the center sensitized Nigerians on the importance of regular hand washing, as well as other coronavirus preventive measures.

However,in post shared by the center on its official twitter page on Thursday, introduced the advert which was shot in the Yoruba language and recommended people to download and share the video.

And it added that the sensitization project, featuring Abraham, had been carried out in partnership some other health agencies such as the United Nations (UN) etc.

Well, on reacting to all these, the Toyin revealed she’s not trying to take advantage of the bad situation.

“It has just been brought to my attention that blogs are reporting that I am now NCDC ambassador. Implying that I have been used to replace a colleague. That line of thought necessitate I put this out there.

“I am not an ambassador to NCDC. I do not like the narrative that I am trying to take advantage of a bad situation. I support the campaign against Covid-19, I appeared on a video campaign against the pandemic but please let’s not drag another person down. Thank you.
