The Namibian Government has reportedly started transfering money into its citizens accounts to help ease the effect of coronavirus lockdown in the country.
However, Namibian government had mandated a partial stay-at-home order in the capital, Windhoek, and the coastal town of Walvis Bay to curb the spread of the virus which 16 people are infected, with no death recorded.
Meanwhile, following the stay-at-home order, we learnt that the Namibian government has begun transferring money to its citizens to reduce the hardship faced by them during the lockdown.
The Africa Facts Zone took to their Twitter handle to reveal this, @AfricaFactsZone, saying:
“Namibia has started transferring money to its citizens’ bank accounts. They will receive allowances from the Government weekly due to the coronavirus outbreak.“

Also a citizen of the country also confirmed that every month starting from Tuesday, the government would be paying R750 Namibia dollars.
