Naira Marley’s fans breach stay-at-home order; storm court to support him (Photos)


Although there’s a lockdown order in the Lagos state, fans of the Nigeria controversial singer Azeez Fashola popularly known as Naira Marley stormed the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court in Ogba this morning to show their support to him as he was being arraigned for violating the social distancing order of the state government.

However, Naira Marley was arraigned alongside with former Lagos state governorship aspirant, Babatunde Gbadamosi and his wife but the state government decided to not go forward with the prosecution.

The trio were arriagned before a Magistrate court in Ogba today for flouting social distancing order by the government.

Meanwhile, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa (SAN), one of the defence counsel, who spoke to journalists after their arraignment, said that the government have decided to withdraw the charges after the singer and the politician agreed to tender an apology to the President, Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for flouting the directive to stay at home.
