”They tied my boobs when I acted as a man in a movie ”Disguise” - Nancy Isime said (photo)

The Nigerian popular actress, Nancy Isime was cast as a man in the movie ‘Disguise’, released March 2, 2018. The movie was directed by Desmond Elliot and Produced by Victor Okpala.

The Tv personality played the role of a man chasing after ladies to find out what women really want in men.

However, 2 years after the movie was released, Isime who won the 2009 Miss Valentine International beauty pageant, took to her official Instagram page to explain what she went through behind the scene.

On her Instagram page on Friday, she wrote:

“So I have decided to talk about some characters l’ve played as an actor that required complete/partial transformation.

“Getting into character for this role in “Disguise” the movie was a trip for me

I’d watch men around me closely and only sit with men on set.

“So after wearing my costume on the first day of shoot, I worked at my chest and said please go and by bandage let’s tie it!

So yes, we tied my boobs through out shoot.

“In the beginning I thought I was going to die because I could barely breath but as time went by I got used to it.”

Yup! That’s me😂 So I’ve decided to talk about some characters I’ve played as an actor that required complete/partial transformation. Getting into character for this role in #DisguiseTheMovie was a trip for me! I’d watch men around me closely and only sit with men on set. I refused to be referred to as babe or dear and you’d probably catch me walking or sitting like a man most times( slide 4). I even tried toasting women around my shoot vicinity and almost got slapped because I was too forward with the toasting😩 I know you’re wondering, where’s your breast Nancy. Lmao! So after wearing my costume on the first day of shoot, I looked at my chest and said please go and buy bandage let’s tie it! So yes, we tied my boobs through out shoot. In the beginning I thought I was going to die because I could barely breath but as time went by I got used to it. The transformation was so complete that my friends will come on set to visit and walk past me😂😂😂😂 I called my man a few times on video call to torment him and I stayed away from seeing him for a few shoot days because I didn’t want to be reminded of my feminine side. Lmao! Some policemen stopped me and were convinced I was a yahoo boy till I spoke and they said I was a Lesbian and they had to arrest me. Honorable @desmondelliot and the crew all came to meet us on the road because my stubbornness no get part 2. I was legit fighting the policemen like a man in the middle of the road, refusing to come down or open my car and couldn’t move because they blocked me causing serious traffic. Shoot me or let me pass. Lesbian kill una dia😂 I also had to play a feminine side so I pleaded that production scheduled those scenes for towards the end of shoot so I don’t break in and out of character too much. This character earned me a nomination in an Amsterdam Film Festival as well as many nominations and wins here at home. Have you seen Disguise? If you haven’t, it’s currently on @irokotv .
