Wife and 2 children of doctor who died of coronavirus in Katsina have all tested positive



The wife and two children of the Nigerian medical doctor who died in Katsina State from coronavirus pandemic complication have all tested positive for the disease.

Remember that on April 7th, a Daura based private medical practitioner, Dr. Aminu Yakubu, who recently returned from Lagos to the Kastina state, died 3 days after his return. Then his blood sample was taken to the NCDC office in Abuja for an examination and it was affirmed that he was positive for Coronavirus.

However, the Kastina state Governor, Aminu Masari today April 10th professed that the positive cases were among the 23 persons traced to have had contact with the state’s index case who died recently.

In addition, Governor Masari stated that a total of 23 samples were sent for tests after the doctor’s death and 3 of the samples comprising that of his wife and 2 of his children came out positive.

He added that they have been moved to an isolation center located at the Federal Medical Centre, Katsina for treatment.
