Abductors finally free kidnapped twins of Ibadan-based Muslim cleric after a week and 3 days.

After 8 days, their children were kidnapped at a gunpoint, the kidnappers have finally released the twin children of Sheikh Taofeeq Akeugbagold.

Taofeeq Akewugbagold, who is also a popular islamic cleric in Ibadan had taken to his Facebook page to reveal that the kidnappers of his twins released them, adding that they were left beside a bush in the early hours of 3rd of May.

He wrote;

“ALHAMDULILLAH! AT 5.30AM OF SUNDAY 3RD MAY, MY ABDUCTED TWIN KIDS ARE RELEASED TO ME BESIDE A BUSH AFTER 8DAYS IN AN UNKNOWN LAND. THANKS TO U ALL FOR FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT, JAZAKUMULLAHU KHAIRAN. ABERE MI BO SINU OKUN, OLOUN YO PADA FUN MI.” 

However, this was made known less than 24 hours after he disclosed that the kidnappers demanded for £100, 000 ransom for their release.
