One Catholic priest, with a name Father Abel Mwelwa, has been suspended in Lusaka, Zambia, after his married lover allegedly passed away during a marathon sex in his apartment, LukasaTimes reports.
As stated by the memo from Alick Banda, the Archbishop of Lusaka addressed to the clergy, religious and Lay faithful, Father Mwelwa has been suspended without wasting time.
The two-paragraphed memo dated 30th April 2020 reads;
“I hereby wish to inform you that I have with immediate effect suspended the Very Rev. Ringford Abel Mwelwa from the priesthood indefinitely.
With this suspension he ceases to be Parish Priest for Kaunda Square Parish as well as Judicial Vicar of the Archbishop of Lusaka,”
However, Father Abel’s late lover, who was a member of the Catholic Women’s League from St Maurice Catholic Church, had tell a lie to her husband that she was attending a funeral but went to the priest’s house.
Investigations are still ongoing at the time of recording this report.
