The Federal Government of Nigeria on Monday, 11th of May, 2020, stated that the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Lagos, Ogun, Kaduna, Sokoto and Kano States, have joined the World Health Organisation (WHO) treatment regimen on solidarity drug trials.
As stated by Dr. Osagie Ehanire, the Health Minister, during the daily press briefing of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 on Monday.
Well, the 4 drugs that will be examined in the solidarity trial are; Chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine, Remdesivir, Lopinavir, and Ritonavir.
The minister also confirmed that the nation has increased testing by an additional 1,127 to make a total number of 27,078 tests.
However, so far in Nigeria, 4,399 cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in 30 states.
With Lagos having 1845, Kano 602, Abuja 356 and Borno 185 cases respectively.
