Lagos state released full list of areas with the highest COVID-19 cases.

The Lagos State Government led by Babajide Sanwo-Olu has marked Lagos Mainland as the area with that tops the list of confirmed cases of coronavirus.

Prof. Akin Abayomi, the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, made this known on Saturday, 9th May, 2020.

The commissioner revealed that Lagos mainland has the highest number on the list, followed by Oshodi, Alimosho, Ikeja, Kosofe, Mushin, and Isolo LGA.

He disclosed that the State was using the data to plan its strategies and where to place high surveillance and isolation capacity.

As at the time of this report (on Sunday, 10th May, 2020), the total number of cases in the country to 3912.

The NCDC figures also confirmed 679 persons have been discharged while 117 deaths have been recorded.
