"Fasting, prayers cured coronavirus" – Tanzanian President declares country free of COVID-19

The Tanzanian President, President John Magufuli has announced his country COVID-19 free.

President Magufuli disclosed this on Monday, 8th June, 2020, while attributing the acclaimed success over the pandemic disease to prayers and fasting offered to God Almighty by the citizens.

He lauded the priest and worshipers for not wearing gloves and masks to protect themselves from the novel virus.

He stated;

"It gives me joy to be a leader of a country that puts God first, God loves Tanzania.

"The works of the devil will always be defeated in Tanzania because we love God and that is why even the coronavirus (COVID-19) has been defeated by God in our country."

Well, the WHO has cried out over Tanzania’s govt strategy on the novel virus.

WHO accused them of not publishing its data on the number of Covid-19 cases in the country.
