The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, reveals that Execujet, the flight company that conveyed Nigerian Singer, Azeez Fashola, better known as Naira Marley and 2019 ex-BBNaija reality star, Kim Oprah, to Abuja, (the capital territory) for a concert, has been suspended indefinitely.
The Minister revealed this in Abuja at the daily briefing on the Presidential Task Force on coronavirus, on Monday, 15th June, 2020.
He stated that the flight was approved for a different purpose, to convey a serving judge from Lagos to Abuja and back, on an official assignment.
But the flight operator flouted the approval, he said.
Sirika added that the flight crew won't go unpunished for providing misleading information while the flight captain will also be sanctioned for giving false information.
He said;
"We approved a flight indeed, but not for any musician. The approved flight was to convey a justice on official assignment, but ExecuJet illegally used it to convey musician to Abuja for a concert. We have suspended ExecuJet’s operations indefinitely, (it) will also be fined."
This comes barely 24 hours after the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) sealed Jabi Lake Mall for also flouting the ban on public gatherings.
The controversial singer, Naira Marley held a concert at Jabi mall on Saturday, 13th June, 2020, in contravention of the order of the Presidential Task Force on coronavirus as part of measures to curtail the unfold of the novel virus.
Meanwhile, many Nigerians have also taken to social media to condemned the singer, the reality star and the organisers of the concert, Play Network.
