The Lagos state Governor, Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced a decision of resuming schools in the state, and that will be made in the next 14 days.
The Gov. revealed this to the newsmen during a press briefing on Thursday afternoon, 4th June, 2020.
He said;
"In two weeks, we would make a decision on the reopening of schools"
"we are looking at the educational centres very differently”.
He also made it clear that
"the state government will enforce compliance with all safety precautions".
Meanwhile, Folasade Adefisayo, the Lagos state Commissioner for Education, last week, revealed that guidelines and protocols were being set up, to ensure the safety of students when school resumes.
The Commissioner also hinted that students might not need to come to school daily.
Well, as the time of filing this report, Lagos state has the highest number of recorded cases of coronavirus in Nigeria with 5,440.
