In Imo state, a Nigerian man identified as Samuel Osuji, and his girlfriend, Cynthia Obieshi, were found dead inside an apartment belonging to one Mr Samuel on Sunday, 14th June 2020.
A statement by Godson Ikeokwu, the spokesperson of the state police command, stated that as at 9am on Sunday, operatives of the Divisional Police headquarters, Nekede/Ihiagwa Division received a call inviting them to No 19 Vic-Mic lodge JMJ Bus stop in the state.
Then, on getting to the apartment, the broke the door reading to the apartment and ound the lifeless bodies of the duo.
As stated by the spokesman, late Cynthia paid a visit her man, late Samuel, on Saturday, 13th June,
2020, and passed the night but sadly, both of them didn’t wake up the next morning.
The statement reads;
“Preliminary investigations suggest that they may have died as a result of drug consumption.”
The spokesman also went further to revealed that the remains of the dead persons have been deposited in the morgue, while an investigation is in progress.
