45 Ministry of Education’s staff test positive for COVID-19

Matthew Prempeh, the Ghanaian minister of education, has revealed that about 45 workers of the ministry he heads have tested positive to the dreadful coronavirus.

As disclosed by GhanaWeb, the minister stated that a mass testing was carried on the ministry’s  staff after his result came back positive the second time.

Prempeh also added that out of the 50 staff tested, 45 tested positive for the deadly virus and were asymptomatic.

“After my second result came out as positive, testing was conducted on all staff at the ministry and the results showed that out of every 50 persons, about 45 had contracted the virus.

“Most of them are asymptomatic so they are isolating at home,” he disclosed.

He also went ahead to say that his coronavirus experience while being admitted at the University of Ghana Medical Center, was not a pleasant one.

He added;

“For all the 52 years of my life, I’ve never been admitted to the hospital before and it was not a pleasant experience.

“The disease is very real and I don’t wish it on even my foe.”
