Ace Nigerian artiste, Ebenezer Remilekun Obey Fabiyi, better known as 'Obey Commander' or Simply 'Obey' has frowned at the habit of elderly men marrying younger ladies who are just ‘starting life’.
Well, in an interview with The Nation, the multiple award-winning singer stated that it is only a foolish elderly man that will get married to a young lady who hasn’t yet experienced anything throughout everyday life.
The 78-year-old was asked as to why he hasn’t married a young lady since his dearest wife died and he said:
”Marry a young lady? It’s a foolish old man that will say he wants to marry a young lady. The young lady has just started her life and definitely is virile and strong. Someone like me should be thinking of a woman who is 60 or above. And when I do it soon, everyone will know.”
Speaking further, he says for him, at whatever point he is prepared to settle down again, it would be for companionship and he would be looking at a woman in her 60's and not a young lady.
