One Federal Capital Territory mobile court in Abuja today imposed a fine of N200k on talented Nigerian singer, Azeez Fashola alias Naira Marley, for flouting the Presidential Task Force rules on COVID-19.
Well, a 4-count charge was brought as a detriment to the singer by the prosecuting team, which he denied.
Idayat Akanni, the presiding magistrate, who passed on the sentence, ordered the controversial singer to make a payment of N50,000 on each of the four counts brought as a detriment to him.
Naira Marley was additionally ordered to publish a public apology to the Federal Government of Nigeria in a national newspaper.
It could be recalled, that he had on June 13, 2020, flown into Abuja with his team for a concert at the Jabi Lake Mall.
