Multi award winning Nigerian singer, Davido has concurred that actor turned politician, Desmond Elliot, is a proof that a youth could be President and still fail Nigerians.
It could be recalled that Desmond Elliot was hauled for purportedly supporting a bill to censor social media speech and furthermore blamed the Lekki shooting on social media influencers and celebrities.
The lawmaker representing Surulere constituency has however denied the allegations.
A few Nigerians on Twitter refused to accept Desmond’s clarification and one of such is popular musical artiste, Davido.
The DMW boss, Davido was of the opinion that with the narrative the lawmaker came up with, young people like him could still fail Nigerians if chose as president.
His position came as an answer to a young man who stated that Elliott was proof that a young person could be president and still fail Nigerians.
The fan had tweeted, “Desmond Elliot is a proof that a young person could be the President of this country and still fail us.”
Davido in response quoted the above tweet and wrote, “This tweet underrated.”
