Famous Nigerian media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu has recounted his encounter in the hands of the Nigeria Police in the midst of the progressing protest against police brutality and harassment, #EndSARs.
The Big Brother Naija host stated that on 14th November, 2005, 6 days after he was called to the Nigerian Bar, an unknown man in mufti expected to be an armed robber pursued the vehicle he was in, alongside two of his companions.
Then, after a few minutes of a hot car pursue, Ebuka and his companions got to a police checkpoint around Olusegun Obasanjo way in Abuja just to be trapped by six cops who took shots at their vehicle irregularly.
As indicated by the TV anchor, one of his companions got hit on his shoulder.
He concluded by expressing that regardless of the disbandment of the rebel SARS unit, individuals, particularly quiet #EndSARs protesters are still being killed and until the government’s actions match their words, the trust will continually be eroded.
