EndSARS: "Killings in Nigeria alarming" – European Union President, Josep Borrell

The European Union (EU) has communicated worry over the circumstance in Nigeria.

Numerous citizens have been killed or injured since the End SARS protests went amiss.

Demonstrations for an end to Police brutality and badgering have snowballed into a national crisis.

Well, in a statement on Wednesday, 21st October, 2020, Josep Borrell, the EU Vice President demanded the prosecution of all individuals responsible for deaths and attacks.

In his words...
“It is alarming to learn that several people have been killed and injured during the ongoing protests against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Nigeria.

“It is crucial that those responsible for abuses be brought to justice and held accountable. Following the Government’s will to deliver on reforms, we expect to see decisive implementation.”

Lagos state, the state worst hit by the unrest, has been placed on curfew.

But this has not halted attacks on businesses, infrastructure and government entities.
