Furious mob burn Nnamdi Azikiwe’s statue in Anambra state, say he’s the reason of their problem

In Anambra state, furious mob has set the statue of the first President of Nigeria, late Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, ablaze in the commercial city of Onitsha.

The statue was at Denis Memorial Grammar School Roundabout, Awka Avenue, Onitsha, prominently known as Zik Roundabout. While the mob were on a rampage, they poured the statue with petroleum before setting it ablaze. 

Well, as they burnt the statue, the angry mob were chanting “You put us in this mess by championing one Nigeria,” “You are the cause of our trouble,” among other uncomplimentary comments.

In a few parts of the nation, thugs hijacked the #EndSARS protest, causing wanton obliteration of lives and properties and forcing different state government’s to impose curfew.
