“In celebration of bad road” – Some residents of Nekede area in Imo state says they drink beer on muddy road

Some residents of the Nekede area in Imo state have subtly assaulted their government on the condition of their extremely bad and inaccessible road network.

A few pictures making rounds via social media shown the critical conditions of roads in Nekede as some residents took to a muddy road to share a drink ”in celebration of the bad road.”

As per a Twitter user who shared the photographs, @harri25_ wrote, “They are celebrating good Nekede Road in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria.”

As expected, the tweet moreover stirred mixed reactions on the platform as other users trooped the comment session.

Desire wrote; This Nekede road has been like this before and after I left futo 2011 to 2016 and still same now 2020 Nigeria government is a failure.

Mario wrote; and the road started getting worse, it rose to #100 (hundred naira only). But as i type, the motorist here charge as much as #300 (three hundred naira) and a few others #400 (four hundred naira) from Umudibia Nekede to Owerri capital city.. one of the best seminary Bethel and a whole lot of other public and private establishments, yet the government hasn’t deemed it fit to fix this road for good.
