“Show the world a video of what you said about social media regulation” – Dr. Olufunmilayo blasted Desmond Elliot

A Nigerian Twitter influencer identified as Dr. Olufunmilayo has fired back at Lagos state lawmaker, Desmond Elliot after he denied supporting a bill focused on guideline and control of free speech via social media.

It could be recalled that we reported prior that the lawmaker had denied allegation of being one of those pushing an anti-social media bill to stifle free speech.

Responding to the lawmaker’s disavowal of the allegation, Dr Olufunmilayo challenged him to release to the world a video of the things he said about celebrities and influencers.

He also dared Desmond who represents Surulere constituency, to let the entire world see a video of what he said about social media regulation.
  
Then, sharing a link which allegedly captured the Lagos State House of Assembly plenary yesterday, the social media influencer alleged that Desmond Elliot blamed celebrities/influencers for the carnage and furthermore pushed for a social media guideline bill. 

He additionally affirmed that the video proof on the site of the Lagos state of assembly has been brought down.

“Dear Desmond Elliot. Thanks for your quick correction. In the spirit of honesty and transparency, can you please release to the world what you said about celebs and influencers, can you also let the whole world see the video of what you said about social media regulation? Thanks”
 
Then in a rejoinder, Olufunmilayo penned down, “On today’s plenary session,
I have reliable information Desmond Elliot blamed celebs/influencers for the carnage and went ahead to advocate social media regulation bill.
