Chisom Chukwuneke, the brilliant student who emerged the best candidate of the 2019 West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination, WASSCE, in her school, kicked the bucket lately after battling blood cancer.
The deceased’s father, Professor Felix Chukwuneke, took to Facebook to narrate how Chisom’s sickness began as a leg pain.
Professor Felix disclosed that this had prompted him to fly her to South Africa for medical care. She reportedly passed on after a prolonged treatment in South Africa.
Blood cancer, additionally called leukemia, is a disease in which the bone marrow and other blood-forming organs produce increased numbers of immature or abnormal leucocytes, thereby suppressing the production of normal blood cells.
