In Lagos, commercial motorcycle riders, who are commonly alluded to as Okada riders are fighting back in a physical way, after the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu led administration banned their operations to inner city roads and streets in February, 2020.
The commercial motorcycle riders, who operate around the Ikeja-Along axis resisted attempts by the Lagos State task force personnel -which comprises police officers and other security operatives to impound their bikes.
As per a social media reports, the bikers regrouped and enlisted the services of street touts aka ‘area boys’, and pursed the task force officers into their vans.
In viral video, scores of Okada riders can be seen chasing the security operatives as the task force operatives retreat to their operational vehicles and zoom off from the scene.
