The Vatican has started an investigation into how Pope Francis‘ official Instagram page “liked” a picture of a scantily clad Brazilian bikini model identified as Natalia Garibotto.
The screenshot of the Instagram “like” emerged the social media on Friday, 13th November, 2020, but the photo was unliked on Saturday, 14th November, after the Catholic News Agency (CNA) asked the Holy See Press Office for comment.
In any case, the controversial photo displayed the Brazilian model dressed in a revealing tartan ‘skirt’ and suspenders leaning against a locker with most of her posterior visible in view.
Sources close to the Vatican press office affirmed to Catholic News Agency that the pope’s various social media pages are managed by a team of employees and that an internal investigation is underway to determine how the “like” occurred.
