One church belonging to the Rivers state Governor, Nyesom Wike‘s father, has been rocked by explosive in Port Harcourt, the state capital.
Thugs numbering about 5 reportedly sneaked into the Christian Universal Church International at No 25 Azikiwe Street Mile 3, Diobu, on Saturday night, 28th November and detonated the explosives suspected to be dynamite.
Reports gathered also had it that a significant part of the church was damaged by the explosion, which created tension in the area.
Although no group had claimed responsibility for the dastardly act, 2 of the miscreants were said to have been nabbed by a vigilant group and handed over to the police authority.
The area of the incident is said to have been cordoned off by operatives of Eagle crack, an outfit of the state police command, Mopol 19 and other security agencies.
