“Lekki protesters were likely shot by hoodlums” – Attorney General, Abubakar Malami says

The Nigeria Attorney-General, Abubakar Malami, has expressed that it there’s likelihood that thugs shot at #EndSARS peaceful protesters, during the gunfire incident at the Lekki Tollgate on Tuesday night, 20th October, 2020.

As stated by Malami, it was conceivable that thugs attacked the peaceful protesters and not the Nigerian army personnel.

Well, he made this statement while addressing newsmen on Monday, 2nd November. Speaking further, he revealed that investigations is ongoing to ascertain what truly occurred in Lekki.

In his words,

“You cannot rule out the possibility of perhaps hoodlums that set in to create a scene… could equally partake in the process.”

Nevertheless, former spokesperson of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Sani Usman(rtd) has alleged that blank ammunition was used during the gunfire incidence at the Lekki tollgates on October, 20th.

The spokesman who spoke on ARISE News on Wednesday, 27th October, disclosed that blank ammo has little or no effect on its target.
