Tiwa Savage unveils that she attempted suicide twice (Watch)

Multi award winning Nigerian female singer, Tiwa Savage has revealed how she attempted suicide twice after she suffered depression over racist comments while in London.

The divorced mother of one made this known in a recent Black Box interview with Big Brother Naija host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu via ‘Bounce Live Radio’.

As revealed by her, she tried to take her own life as a result of the bullying she received as a black kid in London.

The 40-year-old singer disclosed she moved to London with her mum at the age of 10. She also disclosed that her strong Nigerian accent at the time was taunted by her classmates in school.

She said...

“I was teased so bad. They used to call me ‘African girl’, ‘Foo foo’, ‘Your food smells’ and so on. It was terrible. It was so bad that I literally tried to kill myself two times. I was really depressed.”
