Popular Nigerian Activist, Aisha Yesufu, has reacted to the lawsuit filed against her and 49 other Nigerian celebrities who participated in #EndSARS movement hinged on ending police brutality and bad governance across the country.
It should be recalled that on Tuesday, 10th November, a Nigerian man identified as Kenechukwu Okeke, with a Twitter handle @HumanRightsNG, filed the criminal complaint against some Nigerians who were publicly and actively involved in #EndSARS campaign.
Kenechukwu Okeke had alleged that his properties were destroyed during the riots “instigated and incited” by the 50 “accused individuals” and demanded that the #EndSARS promoters be brought to justice.
Eminent among those who were dragged to court include, 2face Idibia, Mr. Macaroni, Kiki Mordi, Davido, Burna Boy, Falz, Tiwa Savage, Aisha herself among others. Click to see full list.
In reaction to reports of the lawsuit against her, Aisha Yesufu via her official Twitter handle wrote;
“Hello #EndSarsList team mates. What colour of aso ebi are we sewing for our court appearance? #BlameGovernment #EndSars #EndPoliceBrutalityinNigeria #GenocideAtLekkiTollGate #CrimesAgainstHumanity”
