Renowned Swedish and AC Milian forward, Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored an acrobatic late winner as AC Milan consolidated top spot in Serie A with a 2-1 defeat over Udinese on Sunday, 1st November.
The sensational superstar has scored 7 goals in 4 league games played having missed the other 2 after testing positive for COVID-19.
Stefano Pioli’s side are top of the table with 16 points from 6 games, 4 points ahead of Atalanta.
Champions Juventus are 6th — 7 points behind AC Milan, before Sunday’s game against promoted Spezia where Cristiano Ronaldo starts on the bench after testing negative for Covid-19.
Ibrahimovic said;
“Mine was a good goal but the victory of the team counts more,”
“It was a difficult match, we showed that in difficult moments the team works well together.
“We are among the youngest teams in Europe, I take the blame for raising the average age, but they all make me feel younger.”
Well, the 39-year-old star set up Franck Kessie for the opener after 18 minutes before De Paul pulled Udinese level 3 minutes after the break from the penalty spot, beating Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma on his return from covid-19.
But Ibrahimovic snatched the 3 points 7 minutes from time acrobatically beating Udinese defenders Sebastian De Maio and Rodrigio Becao, to beat goalkeeper Juan Musso with a close overhead kick.
AC Milan has now extended their unbeaten run to 24 consecutive matches since competition return in June after the covid-19 lockdown.
Udinese are in the relegation zone after their 5th defeat this season.
