Nigerians were on Saturday, 23rd January, left wondering for a brief moment if suspected cyber -criminal, Ramon Abbas better known as Ray Hushpuppi has been released from jail after photos showing him in public emerged online.
A famous US-based barber shop known as Slidercuts took to the photo and video sharing app, Instagram to share a pictures of the owner after an event for Louis Vuitton in Paris, France and Hushpuppi was spotted in the background of the picture.
In the Instagram photographs, Ray Hushpuppi could be seen interacting with a foreigner whole on the side walk.
It could be recalled that the Instagram big boy was apprehended in Dubai in June 2020, and extradited to the US where he was charged with running a global fraud operation, including targeting a Premier League football club, a bank and a US law firm.
Slidercuts, nonetheless, allayed fears of Nigerians when he revealed that the picture was from a previous show, which was probably done before the arrest of Hushpuppi.
It captioned the Instagram photos;
”Another @virgilabloh LV show done!
Last week I was in Paris cutting the models for @louisvuitton latest fashion show. (This pic is from a previous show).”
