Veteran Nollywood actress, Orisabunmi, dies at 60

Veteran Yoruba actress, Folake Aremu, otherwise known as Orisabunmi, has passed away at the age of 60.

The demise of the Kwara state-born on-screen character is coming just 4 months after ex-husband Jimoh Aliu, alias Aworo kicked the bucket.

Bolaji Amusan, aka Mr Latin, the President of the Theatre Arts And Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), confirmed her death on Tuesday night, 5th January, 2021.

Another senior TAMPAN member, Tunde Ola-Yusuff also announced her demise in a Facebook post.

Orisabunmi became popular in the 80s TV series Arelu, starring her ex-husband and others like Fadeyi Oloro.

Meanwhile, other Nollywood thespians and movie makers have already started sending tributes to the late actress across social media platforms.
