“I switched sounds ‘cos I want people to play my songs even on Sundays” – Wizkid Reveals (Watch)

Nigerian music maestro, Wizkid has disclosed that he switched from his old style of music because he wants people to play his songs even on Sundays.

The oneself-acclaimed Starboy made this revelation in an exclusive interview with Red Radio held over the weekend; same interview wherein he chose Ronaldo over Messi.

According to the 'Smile' crooner, he wasn’t satisfied with his songs being mostly played in parties and nightclubs, so he opted for an all-embracing sound.

Speaking during the media chat, he said ‘Blessed’, his joint with Damian Marley is his favourite track on the ‘Made in Lagos’ album because it was a spiritual session.

He also added that he has plans on working with upcoming Nigerian artistes like Tems, Bella Shmurda and Omah Lay who he said recently spent 5 days recording with him in Ghana.

Wizkid born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun also revealed that he is already working on a new album which is set to drop pretty soon.
