Renowned Nollywood actress and movie producer, Ruth Kadiri has forged ahead barely 48 hours after ranting on social media over the overlook by Eko Awards.
The thespian bitterly lamented for not receiving an award or getting any recognition by organizers of the Eko Star Film & TV Awards claiming that her efforts, hard work and contribution in Nollywood as an actress and filmmaker.
In her words;
“I am a filmmaker. I am a woman. I am a hard working woman. I have faced the struggles every woman/filmmaker has faced. Did my name at any point pop up yes, but because i do not belong to a click? Yet again, i have been over looked.”
“I will not be pressured. I will keep working hard. @lagosstategovt @moabudu @ijayonah @nifsummit thanks for overlooking me and congrats to everyone who got recognized. the film industry is controlled by women, so if you’re going to do it, do it right or don’t do it at all”
Nevertheless, in a recent update via her official Instagram handle, she revealed that her lovely hubby has given her something in place of the Eko Award she did not get.
As per the mother of one, she is unperturbed after being snubbed as her hubby surprised her with a bottle of stout to spice up her day.
Sharing a video of the stout her hubby gave her, she wrote;
“How my night ended post and delete love you all o.”
