”Can we also wake to the news that Boko Haram has been banned” - Nigerian Comedian AY slams Federal Government over #TwitterBan

Sensational Nigerian comedian and comic actor Ayo Makun otherwise known as AY has lambastes the President Buhari’s led government over the quick response to the ban of Twitter in Nigerian.

Dickson101 had reported that Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information, announced the suspension of the social blogging site on Friday.

The suspension is not unconnected to Buhari’s controversial tweet that was deleted by the management of Twitter on Wednesday.

The Nigerians woke up on Saturday morning encountering difficulty accessing their Twitter handles while some navigated the hurdle using virtual private networks.

Well, in a post shared via his official handle on Instagram, the comedian tagged the move as a misplaced priority. He requested the Federal Government to apply such a response to end Boko Haram, insecurity and poverty.

In his words:

“In the same spirit of rapid response, can we also wake up to the news that Boko Haram, insecurity and poverty has been banned in Nigeria? Misplaced priorities.”
