President Muhammadu Buhari arrives Lago state for commissioning of projects (Photos)


The Nigeria President, Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Lagos state for the commissioning of some capital projects in the state.

The President was accompanied by Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the House of Representatives and they were both received by the Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other government officials.

President Buhari is expected to commission the 156km Lagos—Ibadan standard gauge railway line in Lagos. It is the first double-track standard gauge rail in West Africa.

It is also the 1st Nigerian railway line project to be started and completed by the same administration since Nigeria gained independence in 1960.

The project construction started in March 2017 and the test-running process commenced in December 2020.
