“Saying ‘soro soke were’ in KOB was my way of contributing my voice to the Endsars protest” - Nollywood Actress, Toni Tones spills

Renowned Nollywood actress, Toni Tones has revealed saying the famous slogan used by most Nigerian youths ‘soro soke were’ meaning ‘speak up, idiot’ in the just-released movie titled King of Boys:

The Return of the King was her own way of contributing to the unforgettable Endsars protest against police brutality held across the country on October 8, 2020.

The beautiful thespian, who played young Eniola in the movie, chipped in the popular phrase in one of her encounters with the Eniola Salami when she regretted the past mess that led to her children’s death while torturing herself with ‘koboko’.

According to her, she was unable to get to the protest ground during that period because she was shooting KOB2. So she used the line as a form of tribute to those who made the movement and those brutally killed in Lekki Tollgate on the 20th, October 2021.

She wrote:
