Former Roma player, Walter Sabatini has declared that he prefers Nigerian-born international and Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen over PSG’s Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe has grown into the game over the years achieving success on both club and international level.
He was pivotal in France’s world cup triumph in Russia scoring a goal in the final.
Yet, Walter Sabatini admits he will choose the 22-year-old striker over Mbappe.
He made this known during an interview with Corriere Dello Sport newspaper emphasising the ability of Osimhen to score from tight situations as the edge he has over Mbappe.
“If I were to pick one of them, I’d go for Osimhen. He is unstoppable because he can run onto seemingly impossible balls and make them count,” Sabatini told Corriere Dello Sport via Football Italia.
Napoli coach, Luciano Spalletti echoed Sabatini’s thoughts by stressing that the Super Eagles striker is the better of the pair.
“I agree with what he said, and I have always thought that,” Spalletti said.
Mbappe has scored 6 goals and provided 8 assists in 13 games for PSG this season, while Osimhen has 9 goals and one assist in ten games for Napoli.
