Veteran Yoruba actor and movie producer, Afonja Olaniyi aka Sanyeri, today, October 14th, celebrates his 47th birthday.
Sanyeri, who is popular for his comic roles movies, was not on the 14th of October 1974.
The thespian was born in the Bola Area of Oyo town in Oyo State as the first child of his parents. Sanyeri had his formal education at St. Michael Primary School, Òkè-èbó, Oyo State and Durbar Grammar School, Oyo Town, Oyo State where he completed his secondary school education.

Sanyeri began acting in 1992, after joining a theatre group introduced to him by a friend. In 1996, the comedian moved to Lagos State to pursue his career and has since starred in a number of Yoruba movies.
Olaniyi Afonja is married to Hawawu Omolara Afonja; their union is blessed with two children.
