Yemi Osinbajo aide speaks on N30,000 grant for Nigerians


Laolu Akande, an aide to the Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has said his principal is not behind a N33,000 support grant for Nigerians.

Taking to the micro-blogging platform, Twitter, Akande stated that flyers promoting the grant are circulating on social media and Whatsapp.
 
The flyer read, ” Professor Yemi Osinbajo N33,000 Support Grant for Nigerians. Hurry now and check if you are eligible to receive from Yemi Osinbajo Campaign Support.”

Describing it as a scam, Akande said information regarding the vice president will be disseminated via official sources.

He tweeted, “If you have come across this notice below, please be advised it’s a scam. It is trending on some platforms including WhatsApp.

“Please ignore this & always rely only on official sources for any information regarding the Vice President or any FG related activities for that matter.”
 
One Twitter user, @Doctorfrank2 said, “Thanks for this clarification Sir, I know from the outset that it’s fake news and I have told those who sent it to me….”
