A woman, 68-year-old welcomes twins in Lagos State


A woman of 68-year-old has successfully delivered a twins (male and female) by doctors at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).

However, in an announcement released by Prof. W. L. Adeyemo, the Chairman of LUTH’s Medical Advisory Committee, it was reported that the lady who got pregnant for the first time through In vitro fertilisation (IVF), gave birth to her babies on Tuesday, 14th April.

Meanwhile, the woman is said to be the ‘oldest verifiable’ first time mother in Nigeria and in Africa to give birth twins at that age.
