Beyonce pledges $6 million to help battle against Coronaviru pandemic disease.


American sensational RnB and pop female artiste, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter popularly known as Beyoncé has joined the rest of well-to-do individuals in the world in the mission to raise funds and awareness for the coronavirus pandemic Economic relief.

However, the 6 times Grammy awards winner, through BeyGOOD, her charity initiative, which partnered with Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey’s #Startsmall in donating $6 million to aid organizations that provide mental wellness services.

Well, the organizations include health facilities supported by the UCLA, the United Memorial Medical Center, Mathew 25, Bread of Life, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (particularly in New York, Houston, New Orleans, and Detroit) and more.

Furthermore, following the outbreak of the pandemic disease, many groups have been created to help small businesses scale, scientific research, and child welfare, both locally and nationally. 

However, the mother of three, is focusing on communities in big cities that have been especially hit hard.

A statement released by Beyoncé’s representatives read; “In our major cities, African-Americans comprise a disproportionate number of workers in these indispensable occupations, and they will need mental health support and personal wellness care, including testing and medical services, food supplies and food deliveries, both during and after the crisis,” 

In addiction, her act of kindness follows other celebrities who have donated substantial monetary aid which includes Rihanna, Demi Lovato, her husband Jay-Z and Dorsey, who sparked these charitable efforts with his $1 billion donation. 

Well, like Beyoncé, all are committed for helping those in need during this hard period.
