The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, has lunched a full list of the areas with the highest numbers of confirmed cases in the state.
As stated by him, Eti-Osa Local Government Area has the highest number on the list with 47 cases, followed by Ikeja – 24; and Lagos Mainland – 14.
However, Abayomi released the chart while giving an update of COVID-19 situation in the state on Friday.
In addition, he disclosed that Lagos state has recorded 98 confirmed cases in 6 local governments.
Furthermore, he said 24 patients have been discharged, bringing the number of active cases in the state to 74.

Cases by age
The commissioner said that most of the patients are between 30 - 59 years old. He revealed that only 3 patients between 60 - 70 years are currently receiving treatment. .
Gender distribution
He however added that 64% of the patients are males, 36 per cent females. while 68% of them were imported in the first four weeks of confirmation of the index case in the state.
“91% of confirmed #COVID_19 cases in Lagos are Nigerians, 9% are foreigners,” he added.
