The Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC has cautioned Nigerians against drinking bleach to treat coronavirus.
However, the advise comes days after the acting head of the US Department of Homeland Security’s Science and Technology Directorate, William Bryan, presented the results of US government research that shown Coronavirus appeared to weaken more quickly when exposed to sunlight and heat.
Thus, the study also claimed that bleach could kill the virus in saliva or respiratory fluids within five minutes and isopropyl alcohol could kill it even more quickly.
Well, in a post shared on by NCDC on their verified Twitter page, warned Nigerians not to try to ingest bleach as Nigeria continues to fight against the coronavirus pandemic disease.
In addition, the agency discloses that ingesting bleach exposes an individual to health complications and even death.
