The Government of Lagos State has approved the establishment of the State Cash Transfer Unit (SCTU) for the National Cash Transfer programme.
It was confirmed by Mrs. Yetunde Arobieke, the State Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, on Thursday, 20th May, 2020.
As reported by the Nation, the commissioner however, gave details of the programme, while recapitulating her ministry’s activities for the last 1-year, to celebrate the state Governor’s first anniversary.
Arobieke disclosed that in a matter of weeks, the payment of the beneficiaries cleared in the 1st phase of the programme would begin.
Well, about 8,147 beneficiaries from the Social Register of vulnerable and poor households are from 6 local govt areas and 40 wards.
As stated by her, the conditional cash transfer Payment of 5k will be made per household monthly in the first phase.
And the cleared beneficiaries are from Amuwo Odofin, Ibeju Lekki, Epe, Badagry, Apapa and Lagos Island.
