Ghana confirms 1,032 additional cases of COVID-19 few days after lockdown was eased.


Almost two weeks ago, after the Republic of Ghana eased their nationwide lockdown which led to several celebrations on their streets, Ghana has now confirmed more than a thousand plus (1,032) new cases of coronavirus.

Nana Akufo-Addo, the Ghanaian President, 
gave 3 weeks lockdown lifting on the basis of “improved coronavirus testing”, on April 19th,
 2020, with the record of 1,042 cases, with 99 recoveries that time.

However, in the new development, the Ghana’s ministry of health, revealed yesterday that the country currently has 2,074 confirmed cases of coronavirus, out of which 212 recoveries and 17 lost of lives have been recorded, showing a rise in number of recorded cases since the lockdown was eased.


Well, Ghana is the first West African country to lift the lockdown restriction on movement of its citizens.
