Nigerian sensational singer, Ayo Balogun popularly identified as Wizkid has urged Nigerians to do more than just music if a change is to happen in the nation.
The international act stated this after a twitter user identified as @Zaheershoeplug1 took to the micro-blogging platform to appeal to him to drop a song that highlights all the country’s critical issues.
He wrote;
“@wizkidayo I’d be so excited if you can just drop a song highlighting some of the critical issues going on in this country. I trust and believe it will go a long way. God bless you king Crown, massive respect”
Then, on seeing this, the multi award winning singer, replied that it would be of no point doing that.
As stated by him, Fela Kuti has already made songs about bad leadership and nothing has changed yet. The self-acclaimed Starboy advised Nigerians to use play their part well in the next coming election.
He wrote;
“Fela made songs before I was born about the issues of bad leadership and governance and even to this present administration!! my brudda nothing has changed. We gats do more”. In another post, Wizkid said we should use or voice well in the next election “Next election ! Use your voice and your votes wisely!!”
