Uprising Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor, known better known as Rema, has a message for those slamming his lyrics.
The Edo-born rapper, sometimes involves his native language/vibes while making music and some trolls have highlighted that it can’t make sense of what he says in his songs because of the native language.
Thus, in a swift response to those critics, the 20-year-old disclosed that his lyrics, which he called his ‘Benin Lamba,’ are part of his Edo heritage which he will never be ashamed of celebrating.
He wrote;
“I’m a proud Edo boy, I’ll forever celebrate my culture, I no go shame to use my Benni lamba, they can call me crazy all they want because they don’t understand it but I will never box myself to please anybody. When I hear beat I must misbehave! get used to it.”
