JUST IN! Ray Hushpuppi makes first court appearance in the United States, is said to face up to 20 years jail term


Popular Nigerian alleged internet fraudster, Ramon Abbas popularly know as Ray Hushpuppi was charged to court on Friday, 3rd July, 2020, and is said to face up to 20-year in jail term.


Well, as it revealed by a complaint on the U.S. Government’s Department of Justice’s website, the instagram big boy, who arrived in Chicago on Thursday evening, 2nd July, 2020, after being expelled from the United Arab Emirates, has made his first court appearance this morning, and is expected to be transferred to Los Angeles in the coming weeks.


And if convicted of conspiracy to engage in money laundering, Ray Hushpuppi would face a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison.


Meanwhile, the FBI’s investigation has shown that Ray Hushpuppi finances his opulent lifestyle through crime, and that he is one of the leaders of a transnational network that facilitates computer intrusions, fraudulent schemes (including BEC schemes), and money laundering, targeting victims around the globe in schemes designed to steal hundreds of millions of dollars.
