EFCC apprehends 3 NYSC members, 19 undergraduates, 10 others for alleged cyber-crime in Ogbomoso (Checkout their Names)


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibadan Zonal Office, on Tuesday, 11th of August, 2020, nabbed 32 “Yahoo boys” for supposed involvement in cyber-crime.

The 32 suspects were arrested during a raid on their hideout in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. The EFCC Officials cleared on the area, after persistent investigation of series of intelligence accumulated on their alleged criminal activities.


As it was gathered, 3 of the suspects alleged to be serving members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), 19 were students of different universities within the country, while the remaining 10 laid claim to sundry vocations.


According to the officials, they suspects are Anuoluwapo Matthew; Aremo Jeremiah; Olawoyin Abiodun; Ajayi Joseph Ajibola; Ogbonnaya Prosper John; Babarinde Solomon; Azeez Ridwan; Oladele Victor; Mumuni Waliyullah; Garba Mojeed; Olatunbosun Tobiloba; Arisekola Shina; Joshua Ola Adebayo; Okuwatoyin Henry; Oyebamiji Francis; and Samson Gideon.


While others are Aniyikaye Tope; Omonaiye Abubakar; Sattong Baking; Abisoye Kehinde, Iwajomo Nathan; Ogunkeye Olumide; Ogunleke Tolu; Olapade Emmanuel; Adegoke Aanu Abiodun; Oladele Ayobami; Ajala Timilehin; Oyebode Pelumi; Babayanju Toluwani; Adebolapo Bakare; Alaba Gideon; and Job Ayantoye.


Nevertheless, at the point of their capture, 12 exotic cars, several phones, laptops and some incriminating archives were recovered from them. The suspects were subjected to exhaustive screening by medical officials of the EFCC, in accordance with the Covid-19 prevention guidelines.
